NEW WORLD ANGELS INVESTS $575K IN HINALEA IMAGING

BOCA RATON, FL (April 25, 2025) – New World Angels (“NWA”), a leading Florida-based structured angel investment organization, announced today that it completed an investment of $575,000 into Hinalea Imaging Corp., a leading provider of intelligent imaging solutions, as part of a $4.7 million Series Seed financing round led by Pangaea Ventures and TEL Venture Capital, the venture arm of Tokyo Electron. Hinalea Imaging combines a unique hyperspectral imaging system with machine learning to provide actionable insights into product quality and contamination across a wide range of inspection needs.

“We are delighted to have NWA participate in our Series Seed round, together with other leading angel investors from around the country. In addition to the capital investment, NWA brings a wealth of expertise, experience, and connections that Hinalea can leverage to help grow the business,” said Barry McDonogh, CEO of Hinalea Imaging.

The Hinalea transaction marks NWA’s second investment by the Industrial and Manufacturing vertical co-led by NWA members Chris Groobey and Don Pucci.  NWA previously invested approximately $900k over two rounds in Sniffer Robotics, a technology-enabled emissions management company, NWA’s first portfolio company in the industrial vertical.

"Our New World Angels Industrial and Manufacturing group seeks out transformative technologies that elevate industrial and manufacturing performance,” notes Ron Tarro, President of New World Angels.  "Hinalea Imaging exemplifies this mission through its pioneering use of machine learning and advanced optics to create not just more efficient, but qualitatively better processes. Hinalea is poised to transform quality management across a wide range of industrial applications. We are proud to support their efforts."

In connection with NWA’s investment in Hinalea Imaging, Chris Groobey will serve as NWA’s board observer. In addition to representing the collective experience and network of the New World Angels organization, Mr. Groobey is an experienced, NACD certified public-company director and advisor for growth companies and their investors.
